Hugh Scott & Company was founded in 1925 and has been run by the Hunter family since 1983. The company had always been associated with roofwork and has since grown considerably into a multi-trade building repairs and maintenance firm. Our list of customers include Property Managers and Letting Agents, Insurance Companies, private households, Housing Associations, Architects, Surveyors and many commercial properties.

The company is a member of S.B.E.F. and S.N.I.P.E.F. and has always been keen to train apprentices in both modern and traditional skills. Maintaining the traditional skills are most important to David J Hunter, Managing Director (President Scottish Master Slaters and Tilers Association) and Robert McKenzie, Director. Specialist leadwork and slating are regularly carried out by the firm. We have over 40 No. vehicles which can be seen regularly throughout Glasgow, Paisley and surrounding districts.

Hugh Scott Employs 95% of All Trades Direct, which provides better over management of the works and gives one point of contact with the customer. Dedicated Foremen / Managers are allocated to each job / project no matter how small or large to provide a close liaison with each customer throughout the project / job duration. The customer also deals with a single person from start to finish.
