J H Horn (Plumbers) Ltd. have now been in business during three centuries. The present Managing Director, David J Hunter, is 6th generation in the plumbing industry. J H Horn were Established in 1877 and in more recent years the Hunter family have built the business into the well established Glasgow firm it is today. David has now been in the business for 20 years and continued the quality of service into the new Millenium. Services offered include Domestic and Commercial Plumbing, Drainage, Gaswork, Central Heating and Leadworks.

JH Horn is now recognised as a SNIPEF APPROVED licensed business under the terms of the Plumbing Industrial Licensing Scheme (Scotland and Northern Ireland).

J H Horn (Plumbers) Limited is a member of S.N.I.P.E.F., who seek to provide a Code of Fair Trading which includes arbitration and conciliation services. S.N.I.P.E.F. also offer Guarantee of Domestic work scheme which compliments the British Plumbing Employers Council Code of Fair Trading. We have always been keen to train apprentices, all of whom qualified and have improved the quality of plumbing in Glasgow and beyond. We offer regular service between 8am and 4:30pm although office is usually open 7:30am until 5pm and there is an emergency service outwith hours for our customers.




Our list of customers include Property Mangers and Letting Agents, Housing Associations, Schools and Insurance Companies although a substantial part of our business is carrying out work for private customers from repairs to w.c. cisterns to installations of bathroom suites. Gas work is also a major part of our business and as ACOP registered tradesmen we can carry out work in the safe manner required by regulations. Many works are carried out in conjunction with our associate company Hugh Scott (Builders & Slaters) Ltd.
